Check your ediabas.ini settings for the EDIABAS in use, as you had INPA, you will have two EDIABAS, one from the BMW Standard tools installed in c:\ediabas\bin, and one from ISTA in c:\Rheingold\ediabas\bin. When you install BMW Standard Tools, it set up a system env var: EDIABAS_CONFIG_DIR = C:\EDIABAS\BIN\, and adds it to the PATH.

I have heard retrofitting Nav could sink me price-wise, but I have been thinking that the reverse camera might be possible with an aftermarket product.

Under that HUD glass, i've noticed some sort of plastic screen, that should move when you activate HUD, this allowing the information to be reflected on the windshield. The sport display shows up but reading stays zero the whole time. I have enabled EFF_DYN_SPORT_CID in HU_Entry (non NBT unit) on my wife X3 2013 (base model, no navigation) and sports display works fine. The torque and hp appears as you drive the car.

My first impression is that HUD is distraction and as long as I can get the information such as speed limit / directions from the. navigation display l should be ok.
That could affect where the HUD ends up being displayed and how bright it is. The light ends up being reflected by a layer in the windshield, so going through a tint twice would cut the available luminance, and, depending on the layer, potentially refract it slightly as well. Not me, just the plain old OEM windshield. Now nothing works as a result. In summary, Option 1) Make NBT2 Virgin, and reload original OEM FSC Codes. Option 2) Apply Head Unit Patch from Fake FSC Vendor. The devil is in the details of course as neither option is simple, as with the latest NBT2 Firmware, patch can no longer be applied via USB .bin file.

A few months ago I had lifted my center console to do a little work and when I put it back I had "caught/crushed" one of the USB wires between the console and another part. And, the USB would not work anymore although it recognized it was there. I re-lifted the console, "freed" the wires and it all worked again. You can place something like an iPhone screen protector, or darn near any piece of clear flexible plastic, where the image will be to get rid of this double image, mostly. I did this with my V1 remote display for a while. You need to rewire the seven segment LED of the RD to reverse the image. I think the module needs coding. I bought my replacement module off eBay. I SPECIFICALLY made sure it's for F10 2014 and up. After body shop removed the bumper, accessed the headlight and replaced the module, it still DID NOT WORK. I've been driving all summer with only (1) Drivers side angel eyes working. Very embarrassing. Open TT in CP, enter the navigation and start navigating. Then go back to Idrive navigation and start navigating to the same destination. It takes over and shows instructions in the HUD. I wanted to know if the HUD is worth it. I heard the windshield replacement with HUD is $1,500-$2,000. I plan to drive a lot of highway mileage and with those road rocks, it's only a matter of time before the windshield gets cracked. .
